The struggle is real for me when it comes to covering up the view to the beautiful outdoors. However, there are times when I need a little somethin’ somethin’ to add to the décor of the room or simply for privacy.
I like to upcyle as much as possible, so I used a piece of weathered pallet board, cup hooks, drapery rings and fabric that I was saving….for this project, obviously! I measured the pallet wood to be half the size of the window, however that is totally up to you. If you think you’ll want to hook the drapes all the way across your window, then make the pallet board longer. As you can see in my photos, I normally keep the drapes on the first 5 hooks. Just my preference for this window, that’s all!
Measure where you want to place the hooks, screw them into the reclaimed / pallet wood, clip on the rings to the fabric and they are ready to hang!
